My name is Steven Puckett from Tulsa, Oklahoma and I'm awesome.
And... by awesome I mean 29 married with
two kids.

My main work is a software developer, but just to try something new
I thought I would start blogging.
I have a wide variety of hobbies I go after some more intensely then others. I tried hunting as a teenager,
but opportunities were limited.

About five years ago my wife had a friend over and as usual, the husbands hang out more than the wives. He gave me
my first real opportunities to hunt. He stuck it
out with me, taking me to his lease for duck and deer hunting.
Trips to Arkansas yearly and one really good one to Montana where
I got my first buck.
At this point in my hunting I have taken deer with bow, rifle, and muzzle loader.
This last season (2017) I started paying it forward by taking new buddies interested in hunting out which gave me access to
hunting locations as well as new chances for comradery.
Hunting with a few buddies is great but you can't beat those
weekends of total isolation with nothing but the sound of nature. Not even the sound of your own voice unless your one
of those who talk to yourself.
